Index Marine Cable Glands

Index Marine manufacture an extensive range of waterproof cable glands which meet the requirements for every type of electrical and electronic installation. All models are strongly made in either anodised aluminium or tough plastic. They are easy to install and create an effective barrier against the ingress of water. All models are simply fitted to the deck or bulkhead with self tapping screws. Full instructions, fixing screws, gaskets, seals and a sealing cap for use when the cables are removed, are included with each gland.

V12 CABLE GLAND

A gland for a single cable, with no connector attached. Three different diameter seals are supplied. Choose the seal whose diameter most closely matches the diameter of the cable to be passed through. The seal sits between the top and the base of the gland and when the two are screwed together, a neat and watertight seal is created.

M SERIES
The M Series cable glands, allow multiple cables to be passed through the same gland, including cables with fixed connector fitted. Following instructions supplied, the tapered seal can be drilled for as many cables as required, and if necessary, slit to allow passage of a cable with connector fitted.

D SERIES

The DR1 cable gland can be drilled in the same way as the M Series glands, to accept a variety of cables. Following the instructions provided, simply drill holes of appropriate diameter through the 12.5mm thick diaphragm. However, the diaphragm should not be slit as it is not tapered, (as in the
M Series glands) and a perfect seal would therefore not be guaranteed.

Index Marine Cable Gland

Four kits for the installation of VHF radios supplied with either a BNC or PL259 coax connection. Each combines the SS1 or SS1P gland with a 4.5mm centre split seal which does not require connector removal during installation (suitable for RG58 type coax cable). The kits are available in either marine grade anodised Aluminium or tough UV stable glass filled Nylon. Full assembly instructions included.
